Five day Pilgrimage Program on foot from Parajd

The five day long pilgrimage on foot goes along the route of Udvarhelyszék. The participants will depart from Parajd on 13 May and arrive to Csíksomlyó on 17 May.  On May 18, they will attend various programs in Csíkszereda and then on the 19th of April the pilgrimage on Csiksomlyó will take place.

The route goes on the pilgrimage route of Udvarhelyszék: Parajd-Atyha-Etéd-Farkaslaka-Zetelaka-Szentegyháza-Csíksomlyó.

If the pilgrims can prove that they have finished this route, they will get a Certificate. For more information, please click here.

On the first day, the participants start from Parajd, pass through Atyja, then stay overnight in Etéd. During the journey, pilgrims will have a chance to get to know each other, silence and dialogues will follow their path.

On the second day the group starts from Etéd and follows the route of Énlaka-Firtosváralja-Székelypálfalva, then stays overnight in Farkaslaka. During this journey silence and chatty dialogues will follow the path of the pilgrims.

On 15 May, the group departs from Farkaslaka, moving through Gordon’s Hill and Oroszhegy, arrives to Zetelaka.  During this journey silence and chatty dialogues will follow the path of the pilgrims and starting from Oroszhegy,  the theme of the family will be emphasized.

 On the way, plenty of attractions can be visited, such as the statue of Mary, The Heart of Jesus look-out tower and the look-out tower of Oroszhegy.
