The Gurghiu Mountains and the Plateau of Şiclod border the commune of Praid, counting not more than 7000 dwellers including the population of the administratively connected hamlets as well.

The dwellers are people proud of their traditions: folk costumes are regularly taken off the hanger, balls are organized, a village museum is furnished in the Sándor Petőfi community house… Treasuring past means somewhat this, and according to Sekler customs, celebrating feasts together.
